    Riviera Maya

Riviera Maya stretches along 140 kilometers of Mexican Caribbean coastline in the southeastern section of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Ideal weather conditions, endless white sandy beaches, crystal clear turquoise ocean and varied accommodation options have made it world-famous as a vacation destination.

The actual Riviera Maya starts 17 kilometers south of Cancun Mexico international airport at the seaside village of Puerto Morelos. It includes magical and fascinating places like Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Akumal and Tulum which is the only ancient Mayan city in the region with the ocean as a backdrop. The southern end of the Mayan Riviera is the town of Carrillo Puerto, with its colonial air and Mayan traditions.

The Riviera Maya offers intriguing Mayan ruins, incomparable beaches with crystal clear water and lots of places to stay with numerous activities to enjoy. Naturally, most visitors enjoy the fantastic opportunities available for scuba diving and snorkeling on one of the greatest coral reefs in the world. Others prefer sailing and kite-surfing which are also well adapted to local conditions. The region’s network of underground rivers, lagoons, many cenotes, mangroves and jungles provide the ideal surroundings in which to experience nature at its purest. Filled with clear, tranquil water, cenotes were considered sacred by the Mayans (fifty-two cenotes have been identified as good for diving and snorkeling). The entrance and exit of the underground rivers of Riviera Maya often lead to caverns, an underwater world filled with stalactites and stalagmites and waters with no current and excellent visibility.

The beauty of the Riviera Maya quickly gets into the heart and imagination of any visitor. The enchantment of its culture, exuberant vegetation and crystal clear waters seduce and leave you smiling.

It also offers a wide variety of accommodation options ranging from sprawling luxury resorts or small exclusive establishments with personalized service to family hotels with something for everyone.

Words can barely express the energy and magicof the Riviera Maya. It is best revealed through personal exploration and discovery of the gentle Mayan culture whose influence dominates the entire region. Experience this wonderful combination of natural environment and quality services that assure you of an unforgettable vacation.
