La Chicharra Records is the creator of the world known Xcaret Collection, that gathers the most representative elements of mexican music.

This is a 15 CD collection, 3 of them awarded by the press because it's musical content and recording quality. One of the themes "Mexico en la Piel", has been adopted in public performances and in radio and TV broadcasting signatures, locally and nation wide.

The Xcaret Mexican Music Collection from Xcaret Spectacular Mexico is an excellent production and interpretation in charge of mexican musicians from Xcaret Park.

La Chicharra Records started operations in 1999 having in mind the traditional mexican music rescue, investagation and diffusion, including its various folkloric variations.
The goal of La Chicharra Records is that more people interested in mexican music and culture, get to know and appreciate the vast folkloric richness of our country.
