The spectacular Xel-Há Inlet is a natural wonder in the Riviera Maya that is one-of-a-kind. In addition to being a sea entry in the Mexican Caribbean geography, it is also the point where several underground rivers flow, part of the largest channel system that exists in the world.
The Inlet is a perfect place to practice snorkel, besides being home to many fish species, crustaceans, plants, and even the queen conch, which is also a sanctuary to this protected species that is monitored constantly with the support of prestigious research centers. At the Xel-Há Inlet, you can find different fish species such as snapper, surgeonfish, parrotfish, sergeant major, and angelfish, among others.
